InferSense Labs was founded in 2026 by Monadhika Sharma to bring deep, production-tested experience in search, retrieval and LLM training to a small number of teams at a time.
12 years of search, from ranking to foundation models.
Monadhika has spent 12 years on the systems between what someone asks for and the result they actually wanted: building relevance for Walmart.com and the first Walmart Grocery search engine, leading search quality at Pinterest as a tech lead, and leading search and recommendations at Roblox.
At Vantage Discovery, Monadhika led the ML team, building an LLM-powered search engine that combined semantic understanding with keyword precision, through Vantage's acquisition by Shopify. Monadhika then joined the Foundation Models team in Shopify's Search organisation to train commerce foundation models, from domain-adaptive pre-training through SFT and DPO. Monadhika also holds three U.S. patents in search query understanding.
